Vulnerability management

Fewer fragmented lists. A clearer action plan.

Findings from multiple sources lead to a shared action and coordination.

From finding a weakness to validating a change.

Vulnerability management covers discovery, validation, prioritisation, action assignment and verification of remediation outcomes. In IT and OT, the question is not only what can be fixed, but when and how a change is permissible.

Armis VMDR supports discovery and exposure validation using asset context and vulnerability intelligence. VIPR Pro collects findings from different tools, normalises and deduplicates them, and supports prioritisation and remediation coordination.

From information
to action.

Discover and validate

VMDR combines asset information, telemetry, integrations and vulnerability intelligence to assess actual exposure.

Consolidate and prioritise

VIPR Pro organises findings from multiple sources, considers business context and helps group findings around a shared remediation action.

Coordinate and verify

Assign tasks and track status, exceptions and remediation campaigns. Integrations with ticketing tools support information flow.

How to start?

  1. Collect the asset scope and finding sources: scanners, security tools and available Armis data.
  2. Agree on priority criteria and remediation owners, considering criticality, exposure and exploitability.
  3. Connect tasks with change processes and maintenance windows, then reassess exposure after action.

Requirements and limitations

Not every vulnerability can be immediately patched, especially in legacy and OT systems. Action may require compensating controls, communication restrictions or agreed risk acceptance. Remediation coordination does not mean automatic patch installation on every device.

Illustrative use case

One asset.
A shared plan.

Fragmented findings

Vulnerability
Exposure
Asset context

Several tools report related findings for the same asset. The team brings them together to plan the next step.

Coordinated action

  1. Owner

Assign responsibility for the next action.

  2. Change window

Schedule the change within an allowed window.

  3. Verification

After the change, check the remaining exposure.

Your questions.
Clear answers.

Does VIPR Pro replace every scanner?

No. VIPR Pro can use findings from existing tools, organise them and support prioritisation and remediation processes. Each source’s role should be defined for the specific architecture.

Why is a CVE count insufficient?

It does not show asset importance, exposure or process consequences. Priorities should connect technical data with operational context and threat information.

How should an unpatchable vulnerability be handled?

The risk owner should assess available actions: reducing exposure, additional controls, configuration changes or risk acceptance. Any OT change must be agreed with operations.

Can the platform work with a ticketing system?

VIPR Pro describes integrations supporting bidirectional remediation task information. The specific connector, fields and permissions should be confirmed before implementation.
